The flexibility, simplicity and robustness of the proven universal InstaTrans Oxygen Transmitter is carried on to the next-generation Model InstaTrans-XD. The new platform continues to offer the benefits of the legacy transmitter, including:
- 2-wire transmitter form factor
- Trace or percent oxygen analysis – settable ranging
- from 0-10 ppm to 0-25%
- Insta-trace capability for fast recovery from new
- sensor installation (optional)
- Accepts most Teledyne industrial micro-fuel cells
- Intrinsically safe design for hazardous area or nonhazardous installations
The InstaTrans-XD utilizes a design to meet the requirements of NEMA-4 (IP-66) levels of ngress protection with wetted 316SS cell compartment body and fittings. The transmitter head contains the electronics and user display interface including 4-button design to access functions.
A fully upgraded microprocessor-based platform gives the Instatrans-XD a more compact, single PCB design to simplify maintenance and reduce shelf spares. Unlike the legacy model with fixed ranges, the new interface allows for a fully settable single range from 0-10 ppm to 0-25%. New advanced functions are also available as standard including 4-20mA output adjustment to optimize signal output and cold boot capability as a beneficial troubleshooting tool.
The InstaTrans-XD incorporates intrinsically safe design to meet ATEX Zone 0 / 1 / 2 and FM / FMc Class I Div 1 approvals when used with select intrinsic safety barriers. Additionally, the FM approval extends to Class I Div 2 as non-incendive device without the use of barriers. FM approval is pending at this time.
